Process leading up to the conference 

In order to identify the key themes of our conference and objectivise the concerns of citizens, politicians and public service employees, we conducted a 4-month survey.

1. Qualitative phase:
Via 54 individual interviews with managers from representative organisations such as: Ville de Charleroi, Ville de La Louvière, SPW, EAP, AVIQ, SWDE, SWL, FWB, WBE, SPF Chancellerie, TEC, Fédération des CPAS wallons, Province du BW, Igretec, Forem, Bosa, Actiris, ULB, Wallonie Entreprendre, UCM, UWE, Cercle du Lac, etc.

An initial analysis was carried out. Its aim was to gain a better understanding of the concerns of leaders in relation to the next legislative period.

2. Quantitative phase
Via an online questionnaire consisting of 12 questions organised into 4 parts.

2.1 Objectives 

The aims of the survey were to  

• Find out what users expect from public services
• Find out what politicians expect from public services
• To compare the views of public services, politicians and citizens. 

2.2 Statistical data

Number of respondents: 279

Released in April 2024. Anonymous survey, accessible to all.
